Weight Loss Tracking and Blog Part Deux

3 more lbs this week!  25lb’s total and sitting at 261lbs.  I’m almost in the 250’s…and that is a place I haven’t seen since the late 90’s.  I’m getting to the point where I’m running out of clothes!  I was able to wear a sweater and a few pairs pants that I haven’t been able to wear for a number of years.  It was very exciting!  I’m guessing that in another 15lbs everything that I own right now will be too big for me to wear.  Which effing rules and I’ll need to go shopping in a few weeks!

I’m really looking forward to spring so I can start biking again.  The gym is great, but I’m itching to ride the trails around Madison again.  It’s great being able to workout outside!

September 2007

In December of 2007, I realized that I weighed more than I ever have in my life. At 286lbs, I decided that I better get off my ass and lose some weight. I was skating on the fringes of 300lbs and I wasn’t going to let that happen. I’ve slowly let the weight creep up on me over the course of the past 15 years or so. After looking at the Vegas pictures, I decided it was time. So, Julie and I decided to have a competition to help motivate both of us. There’s nothing like some healthy competition to fuel your motivation to get your ass moving!

Here we are at February 17th. I’m down 22lbs as of last Friday and sitting at 264lbs. My competition goal end date is June 27th with Julie. Ultimately, I want to be at 210-220lbs. For those of you that have known me a long time, that is what I weighed in highschool. Actually, now that I think about it, that is what I weighed in that UW Point ID hippy surfer picture I have posted in my pics. I have a long way to go, but I’m motivated to lose it!

I wish I would have kept a record from the beginning, but I’m going to start posting every week now. It’ll be nice to look back at the progress over the coming months.
